Risk Assessment

Hi!

Risk
Description of Risk
Likelihood out of 10
Danger Rating out of 10
How we can control it
Wet surface
Due to filming outside, if it has been raining in the day. This causes a hazard as actors running could slip over and seriously hurt themselves.

5
We can control this by filming when it hasn't been raining. Wearing the correct footwear and being careful and checking the area before running and performing.
Being Mugged or Threatened
Filming in the dark and out in the open with members of the public. Could bode a risk to the performers as they could pose a threat as any time you would be out in the dark late at night with random people near you.
1
8-10
We can control this by checking around the area we would be filming and only film when there is know one around to avoid any risk what’s so ever of potential harm to our actors.
Cars
Filming by local and busy roads and street corners obviously has a huge risk of oncoming cars and public transport. Being hit is a very unlucky prospect but it can happen.
2
9-10
We can control this by wearing visible jackets at night so the cars can see us coming and just in case another precaution can be not filming when any cars are around to ensure complete safety.
Table
Very unlucky to happen but the corner of the table located next to or on the set of filming can cause harm to someone if caught on the sharp edge
3
4
To ensure that no accidents happen with the table edge. When filming and not we will act improper and behave sensibly.
Pencil
Again a very unlucky risk, however a pencil can cause a threat if used inappropriately.
1
3
To make sure there is no risk with this piece of equipment and prop. We will use the pencil for only eat it is mad for and not to be thrown or used as a weapon.
Broken Braches
Already fallen branches can cause a risk if running and not looking where our foot placement is. Tripping over this can cause injury.
3
5
Before filming, we will clear the path at where the actors will be walking/ running to avoid any risk of tripping over
Dark (non visible light in woods)
Having a seen set at night time and in the woods mean there won’t be much light to work with and see where the actors our going. Resulting in potential risk of falling or running into objects.
2
7
To avoid this we can plan where the actors will be running/ walking to avoid any chance of accidentally injury.
