Continuity Editing

Hi!

Continuity editing is the job after all the filming has taken place. The person who has the job must look over the film and every single shot to make sure that every prop, item of clothing, location and the characters is kept constant throughout each stage of filming. This is done to make the film run as smoothly as possible and to ensure that the audience is not confused when watching the film. The continuity editor must take pictures of the characters in the film, the location and the props used through the scenes to ensure that everything remains the same so that the audience isn’t confused and the film runs smoothly. Once the film is complete, the continuity editor must look over each shot of the film to make sure that everything is kept the same to avoid any confusion and maintain a high level of professionalism.

See you soon!
